The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has launched the registration for the PM Internship Scheme 2024, effective October 12, 2024. This initiative is aimed at providing young individuals with valuable work experience over the course of a one-year internship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian nationals.
- Employment Status: Candidates should not be engaged in full-time employment or education. Those pursuing online or distance education are eligible.
- Age Requirement: Candidates should be between 21 and 24 years old as of the application deadline.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed at least High School or Higher Secondary School. Acceptable qualifications also include ITI certificates, diplomas from Polytechnic Institutes, or degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, or B.Pharma.
Internship Duration and Stipend
- Duration: The internship spans 12 months, with a requirement that at least half of this time is spent in a professional setting.
- Monthly Stipend: Interns will receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month, with ₹500 contributed by the hosting company from its CSR funds, and ₹4,500 provided by the government.

This internship program aims to expose participants to real-world business scenarios, significantly enhancing their employability across various industries. The target is to create 1.25 lakh internship opportunities in leading companies during the financial year 2024-25, ultimately aiming to support one crore candidates over five years.
